Our 15 minute consultation is a chance to get to know one another, learn about your concerns, answer your questions, and determine whether we're a good fit. It's a conversation—not a formal evaluation.

Services are primarily nature-based, with a location in the Seacoast, NH area determined when your evaluation is scheduled. Depending on your child's goals, sessions may also take place at school or within the community. Home visits may be available when they best support your child's needs or during inclement weather.

Empowering Roots is a private-pay practice and is not in-network with insurance plans. Private-pay care allows me to focus on what's most important—your child. Rather than being guided by insurance requirements, together we'll determine the frequency, setting, and focus of therapy based on your child's unique needs and goals.
Upon request, I can provide a superbill that families may submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many insurance plans require a diagnosis code from your child's physician or nurse practitioner for reimbursement, though requirements vary by plan.

In many cases, yes. Occupational therapy services are often eligible for HSA and FSA reimbursement. I recommend checking with your plan administrator if you have questions about your specific coverage.

Yes. I collaborate with teachers, school teams, and administrators through consultation, classroom-based support, and direct in-school occupational therapy when appropriate. I am also open to discussing potential school contracts.

Children don't have to already love nature to benefit from it. If being outdoors is challenging, that's meaningful information—and we'll thoughtfully support them through it while meeting them where they are.

Frequency depends on your child's individual needs, goals, and your family's schedule. We'll discuss recommendations together after the evaluation and create a plan that feels both supportive and realistic.
